Corner Bakery in Manhattan Beach

I had takeout from the Corner Bakery today courtesy of my workplace.  It was quite nice.  I had the mozzarella and tomatoe sandwhich, and a rasberry bar.  Both were nicely presented.  I recommend you guys checking it out.

Crepe de la Crepe in Redondo Beach

Today I had brunch with a friend from out of town at Crepe de la Crepe in Redondo Beach.  I thought the prices reasonable for French food.  The food was good but I had tummy issues afterwards.  So, it  could be that I am not used to eating rich food.

I ordered a vegetarian quiche with a side salad, and my friend got eggs bennedict.  We both demolished what was on our plates.  The service is rushed.  But we got what we ordered and were quite happy.

I ordered hot tea and it came in a white teapot.  So, I give them marks for presentation.  The tea itself was so so.

We ate outside and the restaurant itself was cute.

Hiwa Restaurant in Cerritos, CA

The food was good.  I ordered the barracuda fish entree.  It came with a huge fried fillet, mashed potatoes and vegi's.  Delish.  However, since I was at the restaurant with a huge group, the gratuity was added.  I gave a $20 bill and got $1 back.  So, I had dinner for $19.

Little on the pricey side - but work checking out.

Tommy Bahamas in Plam Springs, CA

I hate the prices of Tommy Bahamas but their food is enjoyable.  I hate to say it.  I've never had a truly bad experience at this restaurant, but it is an expensive one.

The one in Palm Spring that I visited over the Memorial Day weekend met my expectations.  Check it out, and bring a wad of dough and you will not be disappointed.

American Fish Grill in Torrance, CA

There's a new fish grill in a strip mall in Torrance.  Despite it's location the food is delicious.  Though it is know for it's fish it also has organic chicken, and a roast beef entree.  I was pleasantly surprised.  I ordered the striped bass entree which came with creamed yams, an assortment of vegi's which were delish, and a hunk of bread grilled with butter.  Yummy.  Foodie Alert!

My entree was one of the most expensive at $15, but well worth the price.  If you are looking for good food, head down to this grill.

Samosa House in Culver City, CA

Samosa House is a restaurant and grocery store. All its wares are tastefully displayed so you feel affluent when shopping there. The food is all vegi and delicious. I indulged in samosas and a mango lassi this afternoon and it was delish. The samosas were not too oily, and the mango lassi had cardamon in it.

Fusion cuisine is delightful at this place. It's not pure indian cuisine, but I think it's better for mixing flavors and ideas. Try this place out if you have time.

Whole Foods in Manhattan Beach

If you are hungry, and don't have a lot of time try Whole Foods in Manhattan Beach. It is their flagship store. The food is okay. I don't rave about it, but my co-workers love it and often call it whole paycheck because they spend most of their paycheck there.

I personally find that extreme. But if you are hungry and not looking for Gourmet Cuisine try it out.
